Poppy Display

This year was a special time for Remembrance, 100 years since the end of WW1.
Everyone in school made a poppy for our wonderful display. Some poppies were sewn, others were painted and along with a mixed collection of art work, I think you will agree it makes a very effective display.
If you are coming along to the school fayre next Friday take a moment to look at the display which is in the main hall.

Teddy Bear Donations

Do you have any Teddy Bears lying unloved at the back of a cupboard?  Give them a chance to be rehomed and re-loved…

We will be having an “Adopt a Teddy” stall at the Christmas fayre, where any donated Teddies will be given a new lease of life, an adoption certificate and sold to someone who will give them a much needed cuddle.

We have a few donations at the moment (thank you very much to those parents/children who have already donated), however, we would really appreciate more donations to ill our stall.

Please bring in any donations into school by Tuesday 4th December.

Thank you so much for all your continued support,

Christmas Fayre Hampers

The Christmas Fayre is getting close!
Each Class is collecting items to make marvellous hampers as raffle prizes. As you can see from the two examples (still needing items!) there are lots of things that can be added towards this years coloured theme. Each class has chosen a colour and it would be brilliant if you could send in something relevant for your child’s class.
These prizes are certainly worth buying raffle tickets for when they are completed.
The colours are as follows:
Class R – Red
Class 1 – Silver
Class 2 – Gold
Class 3 – Purple
Class 4 – Green
Class 5 – Blue
Class 6 – Rainbow

Thank you for your support.

Support our school whilst Christmas shopping

We have an account with easyfundraising.  They will give a donation to our school and all we have to do is log onto their site before buying on line.  There are lots of retailers involved, including Amazon, Argos, John Lewis and M&S.

Please take 5 minutes to have a look at the site and sign up.  Your help is invaluable in enabling us to provide much needed resources for our school.

Christmas Tree Chosen!

The school council had a very important trip out on Monday this week, as they visited Horsfields Plant Nursery in Pot House Hamlet to choose a Christmas Tree for the school hall. They made a great choice and now can’t wait to decorate it! They also found out how to tell how old a tree is, by counting the rings on the tree trunk. As they walked there and back, they also saw a squirrel and plenty of birds.

A big THANK YOU to Horsfields Nursery for donating the tree to school, much appreciated!

Sickness Absence

Sickness and Diarrhoea

Can we please remind all parents that if your child has suffered from vomiting or diarrhoea he/she should not return to school for 48 hours after the last bout of sickness or diarrhoea.

We appreciate that in some instances your child might feel well – but sickness and diarrhoea are classed as infectious illnesses and we have to adhere to the health and safety guidance to protect all children and staff in school.
