A Roman Day Out!

Class 4 enjoyed a super day visit to The Yorkshire Museum in York on Tuesday this week. They handled real Roman artefacts, dressed as Romans and took part in a variety of activities… including designing hairstyles! They made mosaics, built an arch, crushed herbs and read Roman Numerals. They also enjoyed trying on different items of Roman armour and holding a replica shield. In the afternoon, the children explored the museum, recording information and sketching items they saw. A big thank you to the museum for a really good day.

A big thank you also to Mrs Cale, Mrs Meghjee, Mrs Felton and Miss Atkinson for their help and support on the trip.
