Radio 5 Live – Vice-Chair of Governors at Penistone Grammar School speaks

Many of you will know Eugene Gallagher, a former Silkstone Primary School parent and Vice-Chair of Governors at Penistone Grammar School.  Eugene was on Nicky Campbell’s Radio 5 Live programme this morning talking about the huge school funding issues we face locally.

I am particularly struck by the emotion in Eugene’s voice when he explains how his 12 year old daughter (and one of our Y6 pupils last year) asked him why she was worth less than other people?

That same question applies to all our children.   Why indeed?
